Client: Microsoft Azure (via Skill-Up Technologies) Role: Senior Motion Designer
Project Goal: Simplifying Enterprise IT Security
Microsoft required a suite of effective e-learning videos to educate a massive global audience on complex Azure Security Best Practices. The goal was to translate dense enterprise IT concepts, such as Zero Trust preparation and MFA for admins, into clear, animated instructional content that demonstrably improved learner retention.
The Solution: Collaborative Visual Problem Solving
My role was defined by collaborative visual problem-solving. I worked intensively with the Instructional Designer to visualize the best and most simplistic way to convey the technical story.
This process began with sketch storyboards to iterate on the core visuals, often requiring redesign as the complexity of the subject matter demanded new solutions. This iterative approach was key to using simplified motion graphics and clear information architecture to break down abstract security concepts (like the DevOps infinity loop and network firewalls).
Global Scale and Measurable Impact
I created scalable After Effects templates to ensure visual consistency across the entire 10-topic series. This approach was part of a larger initiative that successfully reached over 2 million global users and led to an 18% increase in learner retention, validated by user engagement metrics.
