Project Goal: Humanizing Health Struggles with Animated Overlay
The goal of this campaign was to humanize complex health struggles by showing underlying medical problems (like the fight against cancer) while patients engaged in normal daily life. The challenge was to convey this sensitive duality using a visual style that was friendly and approachable but still acknowledged the genuine hardships.
The Solution: Stylized Hand-Drawn Compositing
I managed the motion design and compositing, focusing on seamlessly integrating the abstract health concepts into the live-action footage. The key elements were: the underlying health problems were conveyed using hand-drawn animations that were light, attractive, and accessible to viewers. I meticulously composited these 2D animations—such as the protective shield and abstract cancer cells—into the live-action scenes, using a style that maintained a friendly tone while showing the depth of the challenges faced. This approach successfully created multiple videos for the campaign, bridging the emotional gap between the patient's daily life and their medical journey.
Social Optimization
All video assets were adapted and optimized across various aspect ratios for successful distribution on social media platforms, ensuring maximum reach and content performance across the entire campaign.
