Project Goal: Designing an Interactive Retail Experience
The goal of this in-store event was to create a highly engaging, futuristic customer experience using the Pepper robot. My challenge was to design and animate a user interface (UI) that was instantly intuitive and friendly, allowing customers to easily interact with the robot for various services like photo-taking and store assistance.
The Solution: Animated Interface Prototyping
I was responsible for the end-to-end UI/UX animation and display design for the Pepper robot. This project was a highly collaborative effort where I worked directly with the UX Designer and Engineers to bring elegance and simplicity to the robot's display. My contribution involved designing the animated, circular icon interface and all subsequent screen states, streamlining user testing clarity and directly influencing the final interaction sequence. I delivered the high-fidelity motion prototype concept (the animation that directors approved) along with the technical Cubic-Bezier coordinates for the engineering handoff.
Engineering Handoff
Here is the final library of Cubic-Bezier coordinates I established for the engineering team, ensuring each microinteraction met the highest standards of polish and performance:
Rotate/Scale In (0.2, 0, 0.05, 1)
Rotate/Scale In (0.2, 0, 0.05, 1)
Fade In Type (0.25, 0.8, 0.4, 1)

Circle Wipe Transition (0.5, 0, 0.6, 1)
